The Colosseum can hold 50,000 people in there and that the roman sailors were employed to extend traps to protected people from the rain and the sun there were ramps and elevators that lifted the animals upto the arena floor over a half million people and a million animals died in the game over the course of 450 years and over the years,Colosseum had decayed from earthquakes erosion and citizens taking stones for a new buildings.What can we learn about roman society from the Colosseum?
